OPENING ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

We’re firing up something special in East London — a bold, produce-led surf & turf brasserie celebrating the very best of seasonal British ingredients with an American edge. Think wood-fired steaks, wild fish, organic native breeds, and a drinks list full of sharp cocktails, natural wines, and good times — all served in a lively, laid-back setting with serious polish and a Michelin starred chef.

Now we’re looking for a sharp, confident Assistant General Manager to help drive this exciting opening and support the GM in delivering a standout experience.

About the Role:

As AGM, you’ll be the right hand to the GM — helping lead the team, deliver exceptional service, and keep the floor running like clockwork. You’ll be an essential part of shaping both the guest journey and team culture from day one.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the GM in the day-to-day running of the restaurant

• Leading the 10+ FOH team on shift and setting the pace for service

• Overseeing bookings, floor plans, and smooth service flow

• Helping train, mentor and support a FOH team of 10+

• Ensuring service standards are consistent, sharp and guest-led

• Managing stock, assisting with ordering, and overseeing deliveries

• Jumping in where needed — hosting, running sections, bar support

• Acting as a leader on the floor and stepping up in the GM’s absence

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has solid experience as a Restaurant Manager or AGM in a high volume casual fine dining 

• Thrives in high-volume, high-spend restaurants and loves being guest-facing

• Can lead a team with confidence, energy and clarity

• Has a genuine passion for seasonal British food and drink (Natural wine is a bonus)

• Is comfortable with light admin, systems and rotas & P&L

• Wants to be part of an opening and grow with the business
