Pub Manager - Halifax - Real Ale/CAMRA - £23,000p/a
Our client is seeking to recruit a pub manager for our award-winning community real ale pub in Halifax.
They are a small but busy pub and their success is based on tradition and an excellent range of superbly managed real ales. You must have the customer service skills to welcome our regular clientele as well as being able to select and manage a real ale cellar. They do not serve food, this is stritcly a wet led venue.
This role would suit a hard-working self-starter with a drive to take the business forward whilst recognising the assets that the business has.
You must know and understand real ale, as this accounts for roughly 70% of sales, and you must have a welcoming and friendly attitude to put your personality onto the pub, build relationships and take the business forward.
You will order the supplies, arrange rotas, manage staff, manage the cellar, basically run the pub. Support for administration tasks will be provided. Your focus will be the hands-on tasks of running the pub.
You will be expected to have 'front of house' presence but you will also acquire a small but experienced team to support you.
You will also have support from the owners whilst having the autonomy to demonstrate your managerial potential.
Normal opening hours are 1700 Mon-Fri and 1200 at weekends. They will not be opening until indoor drinking is allowed.
In return, you will receive a generous salary, substantial living accommodation, pension and profit share (package to be negotiated).
CAMRA accreditation is strongly preferential, alongside a strong managerial background in independant community pubs.
