Berkeley Scott are currently supporting one of our favourite clients in recruiting a passionate, committed Operations Manager for this site in the North East.

Your New Job
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading your teams in an accessible and progressive manner, using quality of guest experience as your yardstick by which all else is measured. For them, nothing should be too much trouble, and they should all be clear on the expectation of excellence in all things. You will be a strong leader and manager who is not afraid of making your own decisions, while at the same time leading from the front line alongside your teams and being gifted at getting them behind you and your idea of what constitutes a high-quality experience.
You will be very comfortable being a face of the business, always at hand for guests and ensuring the seamless operation of the hotel. You will handle the occasional complaint as well as going above and beyond to impress, while supporting your GM in all things operational.
Your communication both internal and external will be key to success here - You will manage all departments ensuring a smooth flow of information throughout and really be able to have an impact on the day-to-day running of the hotel as well as the overarching strategies behind it.
The Operations Manager at this property really is a very crucial part of the management team, and as such you will be able to make a name for yourself and become a valued and respected leader of the team very quickly.
Your Experience & Our Requirements
Ideally, you will have had a good level of experience in similar roles within 4* deluxe 5* properties.
You should be an accessible and friendly communicator who embodies efficiency while being able to let your personality shine and for whom going above and beyond the call of duty is second nature, and truly understand what fantastic service really means.
You should have time served in properties with high-level cuisine, extensive events and hospitality.
If you are a candidate who is perhaps a little more junior than the role suggests, we may still consider your application – If you are sure you are ready to take that next step in your career and display a lot of loyalty in previous positions, we may also find you would be suitable.
Your Future As The Successful Candidate
In return for your passion, commitment and dedication to excellence, you will be rewarded with a generous salary between £28,000 - £35,000 as well as some excellent benefits.
