Role: Senior Chef Manager

Salary: £36K term time only

Location: Large Secondary School, Uxbridge
Hours: Monday to Friday
Meals: Approximately 500 Fresh, Innovative Meals Per Day

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Chef Manager to lead our busy kitchen in a large secondary school in Uxbridge. This term-time-only role offers the chance to work weekdays with weekends and school holidays off, making it ideal for a chef looking for a balanced schedule in a vibrant school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and Prepare fresh,creative meals that inspire and students and staff
• Manage the production of approximately 600 meals a day 
• Oversee kitchen operations, including ordering, budgeting and compliance with health and safety standars
• Innovate with nutritious and balaced menus, catering to a diver range of dietary requirements

Job Duties:

• Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation
• Develop and implement menus and recipes
• Manage and lead kitchen staff
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Control food costs and maintain budget
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors
• Handle customer feedback and complaints

Required Qualifications:

• Culinary qualification or relevant experience
• Proven experience as a Chef Manager or similar role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in a senior chef management role in education or high volume environment 

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent culinary skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong business acumen
• Attention to detail
• Organisational and planning skills

Working Conditions:

This role involves working daytime hours from Monday to Friday. The work environment is a fast-paced kitchen setting with a focus on delivering high-quality food and service.
