Chef Manager for small  Business and Industry site on the edge of the city. Looking for an individual, on an initial years contract, to help drive the food offer and continue the training and development of all the staff for their long term career prospects.

About the Role

As Chef Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the kitchen and front-of-house operations. This includes:

  • Menu Development: Craft and introduce exciting, innovative menus that reflect current trends and your unique culinary style.
  • Financial Management: Manage the site’s gross profit (GP), complete stocktakes, and process orders and invoices using our internal systems.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, ensuring full compliance with all regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train on-site staff, handle payroll management, and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Administrative Tasks: Upload weekly menus to the TFL system, update digital displays with daily menus, and handle event management logistics.
  • Innovation: Push boundaries by introducing fresh concepts and ensuring our offer remains at the forefront of the industry.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Proven track record in a similar leadership role within catering or hospitality.
  • Skills: Strong culinary skills paired with excellent business acumen and knowledge of managing GP.
  • Creativity: Passion for creating innovative food concepts and styles that elevate the dining experience.
  • Technical Savvy: Computer literate, with the ability to manage online systems for menus, orders, and communication.
  • Leadership: An inspiring manager with a hands-on approach to training and team development.
  • Organization: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage operations, events, and administrative duties effectively.
