Next week is the much anticipated Cateys Awards 2019. As a sponsor of the event, we would like to wish everyone shortlisted the best of luck on the night. Each establishment recognised is a top performer in their profession, selected and rewarded by peers in their industry.
We have decided to take a look at some of our clients who are up for awards on the night and why they are so deserving.
Best Employer Award
The best employer award is the perfect reflection of how a company really values and cares for its staff. The Cateys gathered their best employer shortlist as a result of The Caterer’s Best Places to Work in Hospitality survey that was carried out at the beginning of 2019.
With roughly 76% of respondents saying CH&Co treats its employees well either all or most of the time and nearly 80% saying they are happy all or most of the time, it shows CH&CO really appreciate their clients.
CH&CO has truly put a lot of effort into developing their engagement with employees and the main way they have achieved this is by upping their digital communication platforms to bring its thousands of employees around the UK together. Creating blogs and delivering news, senior managers are now able to speak directly with teams digitally and answer any questions they may have.
One particular employee commented ‘[Support] has changed a lot. The questions are responded to and the people are reachable’. Being in the top 30 of the best places to work is a real achievement for CH&CO as recognising the problems and finding solutions for their staff has become a key priority.
Park Plaza Waterloo, London
Attending to the needs of every guest is not a simple feat for every establishment, and so when a service can be provided and accessible to all walks of life, it is really something to celebrate. Empathy and dedication are needed to ensure that each element is thought through to accommodate all guests and from this, our client Park Plaza most definitely is not exempt.
Park Plaza London Waterloo understands how important accessibility is to their guests and offer a wide range of features, i.e. Wheelchair-accessible lobby, entrance, restrooms and showers. As well as Audio and visual emergency warning devices and Braille lifts. If the accessible rooms are not enough then Park Plaza London Waterloo are always ready to attend needs as much as possible. Well done to Daniel Pedreschi, Axel Krueger and their team.
