Ashby's Wilson Vale has won a mammoth six new contracts, worth £1.3 million a year, in just six weeks.
The biggest of the lot is a £500,000 agreement to offer its catering services to the conference centre in the University of Leicester's £14 million College Court. To celebrate its opening on October 1st, the firm launched a breakfast, lunch and dinner hospitality service. Another big contract was with Cath Kidston's corporate headquarters in west London, which began last month. The 250 employees at the design company now enjoy breakfast, lunch and hospitality services from Wilson Vale.
Other contracts include a corporate headquarters in Birmingham, and three new independent schools: Egerton-Rothesay in Berkhamsted, Ashdell Preparatory in Sheffield and Dixie Grammar School in Market Bosworth. It is hoped that these new contracts will create a wide array of hospitality jobs across the country.
Wilson Vale, which now has a yearly turnover of £18.5 million and is responsible for employing 550 people in the UK, was founded by Andrew Wilson and Carolyne Vale in 2002. Ms Vale was not only named in the Top 200 Most Influential People in Leicestershire list by Leicester Mercury, but was also among the Women 1st Top 100 within the hospitality sector.
Alan Beddie, Wilson Vale's operations director, said: "It has been a very busy period for us, but as an operations-driven business, we are well resourced to handle this level of openings. Without exception, all of these recent mobilisations have been made possible by the work ethic and reputation of our teams across the country. There is a collective enthusiasm among our teams and our clients when the company is successful, and growth is seen very much as an extension of the happy family."
