London is starring in a new Christmas Video, recently launched by guide site VisitLondon.com.
The video's creation has been helped by partners in the West End and Instagram account @London.
Tim Shieff, a free runner, is featured in the film, which is called A Christmas Story and includes places like Trafalgar Square, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street.
It comes as New West End Company stats suggest a record 40 million visitors could head to the West End this Christmas.
The week of December 8th was the London Underground's busiest ever recorded, according to Transport for London, with 28.3 million journeys taken during the course of seven days.
It all suggests that people in hospitality jobs in the city will be serving plenty of customers at the moment.
A Christmas Story ends with an instameet – a gathering of Instagram users – which took place in Trafalgar Square, and was organised and captured with help from @London and Fruitmedia, a video production company.
"We are thrilled to be able to showcase the festive magic of London with this innovative film, and working with @London Instagram has allowed us to bring together a social media community to tell London’s ‘Christmas Story’ to the rest of the world," said Julie Chappell, VisitLondon.com's director.
"VisitLondon.com continues to be a vital tool for millions of visitors to the city, and it’s great that we are able to bring London to life with this exciting and creative collaboration – it’s the perfect way to end what is set to be another record-breaking year for London’s visitor economy, with visitor figures for 2014 projected at a whopping 18.7 million international visitors."
