It's been revealed that Blackpool Pleasure Beach is the UK's top amusement park according to the TripAdviser Travellers' Choice awards for water and amusement parks.
The awards are based on TripAdvisor users' opinions and winners are chosen via an algorithm judging review quality and quantity, with data gathered over the past year.
People in hospitality jobs at hotels that may be used by Pleasure Beach visitors will no doubt be pleased with the win, which could boost visitor numbers to the attraction.
Pleasure Beach was also one of the European top ten amusement parks, according to the Awards.
Meanwhile, the UK was revealed as being the location of more award winning amusement parks compared to anywhere else in Europe, boasting seven parks in the top 25 in the continent.
The full UK amusement park top ten was made up of Pleasure Beach, Paultons Park, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Thorpe Park, Brighton Pier, Fishers Adventure Farm Park, Snowdon Adventureland, Greenwood Forest Park and Adventure Island.
"We are thrilled to be named the UK's best amusement park in the UK by TripAdvisor, a trusted travel site where the view of our guests count for so much. We are constantly looking to improve the value for money we give our guests," commented Amanda Thompson OBE, the director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
There was a separate category and ranked lists for waterparks, which saw Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool, number one in the UK.
“Whether you’re a thrill seeker looking for a buzz this summer or a parent planning a family day out during the school holidays, this list of winners should provide plenty of inspiration,” said James Kay of TripAdvisor.
With the school summer holidays underway, many hotels in the UK will be expecting boosted family visitor numbers as parents and children take holiday trips.
