Top restaurant openings in Bristol

Fancy trying somewhere new this weekend rather than that restaurant you always end up going to? We’ve rounded up the best new openings in Bristol, from delicious sushi platters to good old traditional Sunday roasts!

TAREWapping Wharf
A 20 cover restaurant, the menu regularly changes throughout the year at Tare. This allows the chefs to really showcase their talent, working with some of the season’s best local produce. Their 5-course tasting menu comes in at a reasonable £35 which includes stream farm trout and Iberico pork loin. They also cater really well for vegetarians and vegans and offer a separate menu for your requirements. Open now, this is going to be one of the ones to watch in Bristol.

This independent noodle & sushi bar is the new sister company of Birmingham’s Woktastic. Opening this month on the historic Park Street, Yakinori will be serving up the traditional Japanese dishes such as Sashimi, Bento, Sake, Teriyaki and delicious sushi platters. The Restaurant is open 11am-11pm Monday through to Saturday and 11am-10pm on Sunday. For all you sitting on your sofa wishing you could have a taste, they also offer a takeaway and delivery service!

ASADOColston Street
This place is the newest face on Bristol’s growing burger scene and is mashing Southern American and British flavours together for their menu. Asado will be serving organic, locally-sourced beef burgers topped with the best West Country cheese (optional though). If beef isn’t your thing, you’ll also find Chicken & Veggie burgers available including the Pollo Libre (butter milk fried chicken thigh, chunky guacamole and chipotle mayo) and the Señor Veggie. Wash it all down with one of their delicious and affordable cocktails and you’re sorted for a Friday night.

SALT & MALTWapping Wharf
You can’t beat sitting outside in the sun eating the poshest Fish & Chips, surrounding by wet dogs. Well, now you only have to walk down to the Harbourside to enjoy this traditional English offering. This is the second of Josh’s Salt & Malt and is located in Shipping Container, Retail Unit Cargo 2 on the new up and coming Wapping Warf.

THE JETTYCorn Street
Although this has been open a while and we are sort of in the middle of summer, we had to include somewhere that offers Sunday Lunch. This relatively new restaurant offers not only the traditional meats and all the trimmings but you can also choose from various other mouth-watering dishes included on the Sunday Lunch menu. This is a fine dining restaurant but at £15.95 for 2 courses and £19.95 for three courses it really is crackling value for money (ha!, ha!)
