Leeds seem to have opened up some great new restaurants for 2016, and we would love to share with you the ones we believe are worth your money!
1. LA CASITA – Ilkley
If you’re searching for a good tapas, then this is the one for you. This little tapas bar in Ilkley serves beautifully prepared authentic Spanish food in its small intimate restaurant. La Casita serves award winning dishes including braised oxtail, marinated pork meat, slow roasted figs and chorizo popcorn. The drinks are also carefully selected, and have been tested thoroughly to ensure they are perfect for their customers. The decor has a rustic feel to it with wood tables and a splash of colour on the walls.
2. BANYAN – City Square
Opening in April, Banyan is one of arc inspirations amazing restaurants which serves food all day long, from super berry granola to a good old English breakfast done beautifully, you can ensure your day will start with a happy stomach. Or why not try it out for a lunch or dinner and have some British classics, from sumptuous steaks, to burgers and fish pie. This place is suited to everyone’s tastes. They serve cocktails and then the usual drinks such as wine and beer. The decor is plush and very fashionable, with the bar as the centerpiece. This definitely would be a great place to go have dinner and carry on the night sitting at the bar.
3. ESTABULO – St Peters Square
This Bar & Grill honours the Brazilian way of cooking, by packing vibrant Brazilian flavours into beef, chicken, lamb, pork and gammon cuts, put onto a skewer and cooked slowly on big open flames, giving you rich, tender meat… mmm. As well as meats their menu offers vegetarian and vegan offers and fish dishes. This place works so that when you’re ready to dive into those succulent meats you turn a disc give to you green, and when you’ve eaten until you can no longer, just turn the disc to red and they wont bother you anymore with food. The Decor is lit up with bottles of wine as the main feature surrounded with simplistic wooden tables and chairs. It has a great warm feel to it and is great for a relaxing dinner.
4. POLPO – Harvey Nichols
Polpo is an award winning restaurant serving great Italian cuisine. By award winning I mean that it has received the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand for the last six consecutive years! What an incredible achievement for them and win win for us as we get to dig into amazing food! They offer tasty small plates, Prosecco and Spritz so you can taste a little bit of everything that they whip up. The setting of their restaurant is said to reflect the ‘fading elegance of venice’ and it sure is a lovely environment to sit in.
