1. ROFUTO – Fire Ways
If you love dinner with a view then you can’t get any better than this. Rofuto, a Japanese restaurant offers a 360° view of Birmingham, allowing you to take in the sun setting skyline of an evening. What more could you ask for a perfect late dining experience! They also provide a DJ in the restaurant to ensure you have a ‘vibrant atmosphere’ and stay all night long drinking their traditional and sake based cocktails. The menu boasts a huge list of sushi so you can mix and match as many different style you like, as well as noodles, tempura and even foie gras. Rofuto is a great hit for a big group of friends to drink into the night, or if you have a date coming up, why not spoil them to this amazing view.
2. PEEL & STONE – Harborne
This place is a great place to hit up for breakfast or brunch; their famous croissants make me drool with their savoury and sweet twists! Or why not head along for a late lunch or even go there for the evening with friends, as they offer up craft beer on the side of your freshly baked bread. What sets this place apart from others is that they change their menus on a daily basis, so you’re always going to be trying new things and you can’t get bored of their food! Pastries and cakes are served all day and the menu boasts an excellent meat board and cheese board as well as pork shoulder sandwich, lamb meatballs and exotic salads to name a few. The drinks menu lists an extensive range of ales, IPAs, stouts, ciders and more, giving you the opportunity to try out some great tasting beers you haven’t heard of before.
3. VIVA BRAZIL – Bennett’s Hill
Meat feast at your service. literally. At Viva Brazil, meat carvers move round to each table with over fifteen different cuts of Brazilian infused beef, chicken, pork lamb and sausages. I feel full already! The great thing is, is that they provide you with discs, one side green, one side red, so when you want more you stick it on green or if you’re defeated or want a break before you dive in for more just turn it to red and they won’t bother you. Genius! If you didn’t think that was enough already, they also provide an extensive island of salad, traditional Brazilian dishes, cold meats, veg, fruit and bread. To wash that all down you can treat yourself to some Brazilian cocktails or indulge in some Argentinian wine. The decor includes weaved lamp shades in vibrant colours along with bright yellow walls and chairs, so you feel as though you’re sitting in a restaurant somewhere in Brazil. This place is definitely one for a relaxed environment.
4. BISTROT PIERRE – Gas Street
Situated on the canalside, this restaurant offers delicious Anglo-French dishes, freshly prepared every day. It has the approval of the public as the restaurant has been awarded TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence every year since 2012. This bistrot has a lovely relaxed environment, perfect for a spot of lunch to take time out on your shopping trip or for a casual dinner. The menu consists of french classics such as steak-frites and boeuf bourguignon and also twists on the regional favourites.
