PizzaExpress targets workers with new comp

PizzaExpress is targeting workers with a new post-Easter competition.

The restaurant brand is giving away a £100 gift card as part of the promotional activity, which takes-in social media.

The Facebook competition asks people to take a photo of themselves or their fellow workers at work and upload this to the comments section of a specific brand post on the social site.

The contest began today, April 22nd , and is only going to have a relatively short run, coming to a close on April 24th.

Promoting the comp on its official blog, the brand offers a sympathetic word or two to workers heading back to office following the bank holiday weekend.

It's looking for funny pictures, which will be judged based on their quality and how creative and original they are.

It comes after the brand provided a £500 gift card as the prize in a competition themed around its new menu, the Spring Collection.

This comp took place on another social network, Twitter, and came to a close April 9th.

In other big brand restaurant news, La Tasca's Manchester Deansgate branch has just opened again after being made-over, with a new Sangria bar among the changes to the eatery.

It's one of many La Tasca venues being made-over in an ongoing initiative from the brand.

"The restaurant looks amazing and I’m sure our sangria bar will go down extremely well with Manchester residents," commented operations director for La Tasca Restaurants, James Picton.

"The Deansgate restaurant’s refurbishment is only a small proportion of a wider investment plan, which will eventually see over half of our restaurants across the UK given complete revamps. It’s a very exciting time and we’ve already started to receive some fantastic feedback!"
