October 13th to 19th has been designated Chocolate Week. This is set to culminate at an event called The Chocolate Show happening in London between the 17th and 19th, and has been arranged by show organisers Francois Jeantet and Sylvie Douce, according to the show's website.
One eatery getting on board with the week is One Square in Edinburgh, which is serving a Chocolate Afternoon Tea this month and in November.
This is available every day from 2.30pm to 5.30pm until November 30th, at a price of £23.00 per diner.
The menu includes sandwiches such as an orange Hovis bread filled with smoked salmon, saffron yogurt and pickle fennel and focaccia filled with orange and thyme poached chicken.
The scones on offer, all freshly prepared, are bitter chocolate and thyme, plain and sultana. These are served with preserves, Devonshire clotted cream and Ashanti chocolate and orange curd.
The sweet selection includes treats like ivoire white chocolate milkshake, Guanaja chocolate and orange doughnut, Manjari chocolate orange cupcake and vanilla and mandarin cheesecake.
The food is served with the diner's choice of tea or infusion. Meanwhile, One Square bar has a Chocolate Orange Martini, which can be added to the afternoon tea for an extra £7 per person. Presented in a martini glass, the drink involves gin, mixed with crème de cacao blanc and Cointreau.
The eatery and bar has 40 premium gin varieties on offer, and has a varied food menu.
It's part of the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, which dates back to 1985 and boasts 269 guest bedrooms, spa, gym and more.
