New Milton Keynes restaurant prepares for launch

Preparations are well underway for the grand launch of a new restaurant in Milton Keynes.

Individuals in hospitality jobs have been working hard to get Indo-Chinese restaurant Banana Tree ready in time for the opening night, which is on Wednesday (July 30th).

The restaurant is located in The Hub complex and has taken over three units at the location, with the restaurant the eighth Banana Tree eatery to open in the UK.

Founder and head chef William Chow has designed a menu featuring elements from Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia cuisine and dishes such as Vietnamese Monks’ Spring Rolls and The Legendary Rendang are available for diners to try out. Lemongrass and Turmeric Stir Fry and Tamarind Crispy Fish with Thai Basil Glaze are among the other items on the menu that locals will be able to try once the restaurant opens its doors this week.

Speaking to the Milton Keynes Citizen, Mr Chow explained everyone at Banana Tree is pleased with the feedback and comments they have had about the restaurant. He added: "We can't wait to open our doors to the public and will strive to impress everyone with our fantastic food and drinks, friendly service and new design ideas."

As well as the eye-catching Indo-Chinese menu, diners at the Milton Keynes restaurant will be able to enjoy a series of Indochina-inspired cocktails on their visit to the new spot.

Broadoak Management's Simon Spavins, who manages The Hub, welcomed Banana Tree to the location, adding: "They offer a completely different dining experience and they introduce a new cuisine into the mix for Hub customers to discover and enjoy."

Banana Tree promises to be a unique addition to the Milton Keynes dining scene, with the restaurant having a number of different seating locations, including a unique sunken spot. There are nooks and crannies suitable for couples to tuck themselves away in, while the restaurant can also cater for corporate parties.

Among the restaurants already open at The Hub are Nando's and Las Iguanas, while there are also two hotels – Jury's Inn and Ramada Encore – at the site.
