Restaurants to eat at over the summer holidays with children on a budget in Manchester

While children enjoy the excitement of having six weeks off from school over the summer, it can be expensive to feed and entertain them during the long break. Although eating out can be expensive, you also don’t want to spend the entire holiday in the kitchen.

This summer, many shops, and restaurants, fortunately, offer kid-friendly specials, allowing you to enjoy a bite to eat with your young one without breaking the bank. We have been researching all the locations where kids may have meals during the holidays for nothing or for just £1.

Tesco

Kids may dine for free at Tesco cafés from July 24 to September 1 when a paying adult shows their Clubcard and spends at least 60p. A Kids Hot Meal Deal, Kids Breakfast, or a Kids Pick ‘n’ Mix deal are all part of the offer.

Beans on toast and blueberry pancakes are among the breakfast options, while for the hot lunch option, kids can select from a variety of main meals, two sides, and a drink. The sandwich, a piece of fruit, two snacks, and a drink are all included in the Pick ‘n’ Mix offer.

M&S

Kids can get a £4 kids Munch Menu for free on weekdays between July 24 and September 21 when they spend £5 or more in the cafe. One main meal, such as a jacket potato with beans or cheese-topped pasta, one snack, such as carrot sticks or miniature chocolate chip cookies, and one drink are all on the menu.

The Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar Slushee are both included in the drink deal, saving you a combined total of up to £6.75 compared to purchasing each item separately.

Asda

Asda has announced that it will continue to offer its kids’ £1 café lunch deal throughout the entire year, not just during the summer months. Every day, all day long, kids may dine for just £1. No minimum spend or adult meal purchase is necessary.

From June 30 to 3, all adult main meals were discounted to half price, with prices starting at £3.12, in order to help the store keep expenses low. In Asda cafes, a family of four can eat for as low as £8.50.

The kids £1 menu has been recently refreshed and includes new vegan and healthy meal options. Kids can choose between a hot meal or a cold pick-and-mix selection which includes a sandwich, drink and piece of fruit.

Sainsbury’s

At Sainsbury’s cafe, children can enjoy a hot main meal for £1 per adult with the purchase of a hot main meal. This includes a main meal and three sides. The offer is available from 11.30 am every day. Children can also choose from a lunch bag containing a sandwich, a bag of crisps and a jelly pot, a piece of fruit and a child’s drink.

Morrisons Cafe

Kids can get one free meal with any adult meal £4.49 or over, all day, every day. Dishes include chicken nuggets, chips and beans, and Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
