BBC MasterChef 2012 finalist Tom Rennolds recently started work at Skelwith Leisure Group's Raithwaite Estate venue, as executive chef.
The Group – for which Mr Rennolds is food consultant – owns the Curious Plum and The Flaxby as well as Raithwaite Estate in Yorkshire.
"I am delighted to be joining Raithwaite at a very important time in the development of the Estate," Mr Rennolds said.
"Raithwaite now has a variety of luxury cottages, two small luxury hotels of the world and a ultra-private and opulent six-bedroom lake house."
The estate is becoming extremely well known further away as well as on a local level, he explained.
"I'm looking forward to gaining some awards here for the hotel and setting the standard for Skelwith Leisure projects," he added.
Mr Rennolds learned professional cookery when he was 22, at the same time as being a plasterer full-time.
He worked at Boxtree, a Michelin starred eatery, for some time following his time at catering college.
Since participating in MasterChef in 2012, he has spent time at places like Restaurant Gordon Ramsey and Tom's Kitchen, getting experience.
He was born in Yorkshire and during the last year and a half has been showcasing his skills at Aspire in Leeds, working as executive head chef.
Mr Rennolds will be also offering his skills to the Skelwith Group's Curious Plum venue, which is based in Husthwaite near York.
Meanwhile, Young National Chef of the Year finalists have recently been named by The Craft Guild of Chefs.
Planning to take part on the October 7th final, Julien Pickersgill, Josh Bingham, Spencer Metzger, April Lily Partridge, Claire Willett, Daniel Lee, James Goodyear and Luke Selby represent a range of eateries from different parts of the country.
