La Tasca's Cuppin Street Chester venue recently opened again after being refurbished, the brand has announced.
La Tasca Restaurants operations director James Picton has praised the new look, saying the first thing he said on seeing the revamped venue was "wow".
"It’s a really vibrant and lively venue in the heart of Chester; offering a truly Spanish experience to all who visit. And our Spanish look and feel is certainly reflected in our fresh and tasty menu," he said.
He added that La Tasca prides itself on getting the maximum possible level of ingredients from regional producers in Spain.
He also said that La Tasca is planning investment in several other eateries across the country.
The Chester refurbishment follows on from the launch of a new menu for the brand. This has led to La Tasca being given gluten-free accreditation, which was awarded by Coeliac UK.
This menu features in excess of 60 dishes including some new options which Antony Bennett, executive chef, has designed.
Another La Tasca venue, on Johns Street, Harrogate, recently re-opened after refurbishment, too.
It's also been announced that La Tasca is planning to refurbish over half its eateries in a new project.
The six-figure scheme will also involve new bars opening in several UK locations.
These will include top-end cava bars as well as the first Sangria bar to open in the UK.
Mr Picton has said that La Tasca is innovating its brand, in an attempt to challenge misconceptions about it.
"We are taking La Tasca in an exciting new direction and our stand alone bars are just part of the strategy! Early indications show this is the right move for the brand, which has seen a significant increase in bar sales year on year," he commented.
