Lindley Venue Catering has managed to extend it's current contract with Watford Football Club with a new £18 million ten-year deal.
After offering it's contract catering services at the site for five years already, the Lindley Group will continue to offer it's hospitality services for the 17,500-capacity stadium all the way until the 2023-24 football season.
There will also be two new hospitality areas, as part of a £1 million redevelopment, in the venue's south-west corner which will see a major refurbishment of the stadium's facilities.
Lindley will be operating the design and build of these new services that span across two floors. The top floor will have a casual dining space with LCD screens and hospitality bar. This restaurant in particular will specialise in gourmet burgers and grill dishes, hoping to attract private-hire businesses. The first floor meanwhile will feature an Italian restaurant for non-match days, with both a 150-cover area and the space to be turned into a conference area. These areas are set to be completed for the 2013-14 season.
The main aim by developers is to truly enhance the experience for anyone who wants to visit Watford FC and have a great day out with the family.
Jonathan Davies, sales and marketing director at The Lindley Group, said: "Watford FC had made clear that its ambition is to completely refurbish the stadium and whilst Vicarage Road has some very good public concourse facilities, including a large public bar and modern kiosks, we felt that the hospitality areas needed to be developed if they are to realise their full potential and match the standard offered at other Premiership and Championship grounds."
