Julia Rosamond is set to join Travelodge as HR Director, following a fifteen year stint at Nando's. Ms Rosamond will become part of the hotel chain on October 6th, reporting to Peter Gowers, the chief executive.
She has been with Nando's for 15 years, where, in the role of HR director, she spearheaded the company's approach to training and recruitment and helped it expand to over 300 locations, employing some 10,000 people in hospitality jobs.
Before she worked for the well known chicken restaurant, Ms Rosamond was the Pelican Group's HR director, and she has also worked for Cafe Rouge and Dome, as well as Rank.
"I’m excited to be joining Travelodge at such an important time in the company’s development. With the hotel modernisation programme well underway and fantastic people across the business, we’re in a great position to grow," the new HR director said.
She added that she is very much looking forward to playing a part in putting people central to everything the company does as it carries on strengthening its service for consumers.
Meanwhile, the chief executive of Travelodge, Peter Gowers, said the company was delighted that Ms Rosamond will join its team.
"Julia brings great experience in developing distinctive brands through people and her role will be vital in our transformation, as we build a new Travelodge with the aim to become Britain’s favourite hotel for value," he added.
It comes after Travelodge appointed Karen Broughton in the role of sales and marketing director. She's set to start the job in September, also reporting to Mr Gowers.
Ms Broughton joins the brand from MAS – the Money Advice Service, an organisation where she is executive director of marketing and service delivery. She has also worked for the likes of British Airways in the past.
