Role: Deputy General Manager - Hotel
Salary/package: up to £35k
We are looking to recruit a Deputy General Manager who has a strong financial acumen and business focus for a small luxury country house hotel.
You will be responsible for the Finance Strategy of the hotel to ensure the maximisation of revenue and minimising costs, and provide leadership and encouragement to the hotel team in order to meet and exceed guest expectations and enhance its reputation for excellence.
The role will have a key focus on controls and bottom line profit and we are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of figures and reporting and who can drive the sales, bottom line profit and implementing new procedures. HR, training and development is also an area of focus.
You will have a solid understanding of forecasting revenue, costs and profitability, P&L accounts and budgets. You will also be responsible for monitoring the correct billing of revenues and cash control. Ensuring efficient control systems are in place for forecasting and controlling expenditure including payroll and gross margins are a key part of the role.
You will also have a key focus on recruitment, HR and labour costs, ensuring the hotel is running as efficiently as possible, implementing new policies and procedures where required.

It’s essential for this role that you have senior management experience in the hospitality sector in hotels and a strong financial acumen.
