NEW OPENING OPERATION IN MANCHESTER REQUIRES GENERAL MANAGER
WOULD SUIT AN EXISTING OPERATIONS MANAGER / DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
PACKAGE: UP TO £46,000 + BONUS, BENEFITS
Berkeley Scott are very pleased to be working with this existing operator in the Manchester area in recruiting a General Manager for a new-opening boutique site.
The operation is an extremely cool, very on-trend concept with very good scope for ruther development in more sites. Although very in keeping with the current market, the concept is a very robust one which will absolutely stand the test of time.
The site will retain features of the characterful building in addition to more contemporary touches, and local Mancunian suppliers will be utilised from pre-build through to execution in everything from the fixtures and fittings to the locally-produced F&B offering and will really shout Manchester from it's rooftop.
This is a smaller, boutique site with some other really quirky aspects to it - There will be nothing to compare it to in the city currently, and it's location will be very central indeed and is not pert of a recently-developing area of Manchester.
There are some very interesting ideas for the future progression of the site, especially from an F&B perspective.
This would ideally suit someone who is well-versed in local culture, history, trends and produce and who will be able to be a face of the business in addition to really getting behind it's ethos. The operators want a genuine product from the ground-up, and you will be able to influence this heavilty from the very start.
If you are currently a strong Operations Manager within an hotel and looking to do something truly different, then this could be for you. If your reputation within the area is great, you know the market and can react to and predict it, allowing you to take advantage of all available revenue streams, then we would like to hear from you.
There will be a lot of assistance and support offered to you should you need it. From a strategy and rooms pricing aspect in particular, there is already a lot of experience available to draw on within the group, so if you have come from a more F&B background and feel you may need some development into pricing strategies, managing 3rd party website engagement etc, then you will have everything you need here to be a success.
Equally, if you are already at General Manager level and would like to drive a business unlike any other in the Northwest and can bring a wealth of experience to the table, then no doubt you will be able to take full advantage of a solid bonus structure.

In return for your experience, knowledge, passion and flair for hospitality, you will be rewarde with a basic salary of up to £46,000 + bonus, benefits.
