Financial Controller / Assistant General Manager - Luxury Hotel
£27k - 30k per year + Bonus

Role: Financial Controller  / Assistant GM - Luxury Hotel

Salary/package: up to £30k + bonus

Location: Northumberland


We are looking to recruit an AGM with a key focus on financial control and HR for this luxury hotel.

You will have a key focus on the financial control of the business and HR procedures in this senior management role..

You will be responsible for the Finance Strategy of the hotel to ensure the maximisation of revenue and minimising costs, and provide leadership and encouragement to the hotel team in order to meet and exceed guest expectations and enhance its reputation for excellence.

You will produce accurate reports including forecasting revenue, costs and profitability, P&L accounts and budgets. You will also be responsible for monitoring the correct billing of revenues and cash control. Ensuring efficient control systems are in place for forecasting and controlling expenditure including payroll and gross margins are a key part of the role.

You will also have a key focus on recruitment, HR and labour costs, ensuring the hotel is running as efficiently as possible, implementing new policies and procedures where required.

The role will require being a strong support to the GM and will require doing some duty management shifts so you can experience the workings of the hotel and understand the full operation to be able to implement action  plans and achieve the results of bottom line profits.

The Ideal Candidate

* It’s essential for this role that you have experience in the hospitality sector in hotels

* You will have a proven track record of a strong financial acumen, forecasting, budgeting, reporting and implementing plans to control costs

* A solid understanding of HR, recruitment and training is also desirable

* The ability to do some duty management shifts is desirable

The role would suit a current Assistant FC or FC from the hotels sector or a Deputy / Assistant General Manager with a strong financial background.
