Head Chef for a Production Kitchen at a well-established caterer who offer services to corporate and public events.
You will be driven by perfection and have a keen eye for detail. You will have knowledge of systems and processes and be willing to push yourself and the team forward.
You will be financially astute and have an eye for detail. You will be in charge of setting par levels, setting up dish specifications and all supply chains.
Catering is required 5 days a week and you be managing your team to meet customer demands. Customers’ demands vary from Snack and grab and go style items to sit down dinners which offer main flavours from Asia.
With the role you are required to be customer facing when pitching for business.
You will be overseeing a team of 8 chefs and working closely with the owner of the company who leads from the front.
You will get the opportunity to work closely with the development and operations team, who will expect their menus to be implemented to their exacting standards while also being in contact with the owners who are heavily involved in the day to day running of the business.
You will be expected to meet tight deadlines and operate within GP margins set by the company.
You will have experience of being a previous kitchen production manager, with a varied background of cuisines. Ideally with high volume and ability to follow and set up specifications.
You will need to possess excellent team management skills, with an eye for logistics.
Must have knowledge of implementing HACCP and COSSH which is a must.
The starting salary for this role £40,000
