Berkeley Scott is very pleased to be recruiting for one of our favourite sites in the Lake District.

We are hoping to help the Head Chef find a solid and reliable right-hand person to lead the brigade and help develop the menus, which are at the 2 Rosette level, possibly pushing for 3 in time.
You should have a good background in similar standards of cooking, either in hotels (preferable) or restaurants.

An ability with banqueting would also be beneficial, as the site also has a small wedding trade, though the majority of the remit will be with regards to a la carte cooking.
The Head Chef here is really lovely and easy to get along with, so you should be an open friendly and approachable person too!

The site itself is absolutely stunning and boasts a really magnificent views – Although it forms part of the stately home / country house type of hotel, the kit-out is nice and modern and it has a 4 –star rating. The kitchens follow suit, and you will have everything you need (and working!) to develop the menus here!
In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with a generous salary of up to £29,000 + a live in option.
