Previous supervisory or managerial experience is ESSENTIAL.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the General Manager and Group Head Receptionist in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Reception Department while ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered to our guests.

This role will include the following:

- Daily management of the Reception team to ensure that they are motivated and meet the daily objectives and required standards.

- Support team members in assisting with guest requests and enquiries.

- Ensure guests are greeted at all times in a friendly and courteous manner.

- Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Reception Team.

- Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of all the hotel services, promotions and daily activities.

- Ensure external and internal phone calls are answered efficiently and correctly.

- Ensure the Reception staff follows the requirements for check in and checkout procedures.

- Ensure bedroom reservations are taken and inputted into the system correctly.

- Handle all guest enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.

- Drive sales revenues and promote hotel services and facilities for up-selling opportunities.

- Be a role model for your team.

- Be constantly aware of the day's business including arrivals, departures and guest requests.

- Ensure all cash and payment procedures are carried out in accordance with Company policy.

- Deal with payment/invoice queries and chase for outstanding monies.

- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by the General Manager and Group Head Receptionist.

The ideal candidate for this position:
- Have previous experience in a reception management or supervisory role.

- Must be flexible with regards to hours.

- Be highly organised.

- Be customer focused.

- Have excellent communication skills.

- Have the ability to work in a fast paced and pressured environment.

The position is based on a 40 hours contract and involves shift work on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. Shift times start the earliest at 6.30am and finish the latest at 11.00pm.

Previous supervisory or managerial experience is essential.
