An experienced Chef Manager with a Contract Catering background needed!  

Key responsibilities are to:


  • Lead the catering team by creating an environment in which they can perform at their best
  • Ensure we deliver the best catering service within budget
  • Monitor the service and our food offering so that it constantly exceeds customers’ expectations
  • Design exciting and innovative menus, prepare and cook our food offering to the highest standards
  • Ensure compliance at all time with all Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and other regulations, policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain excellent client and customer relationships so that you work in partnership and deliver a service that meets their needs
  • Manage stock levels and oversee the ordering process
  • Ensure all cash is safely counted, stored and recorded
  • Recruit, develop and carry out performance reviews for your team
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are immaculately clean at all times

Main duties:


  • Consistent and smooth running of food preparation and delivery
  • Administrative tasks i.e. product ordering, temp checks, H&S and COSHH
  • Ensure all required standards are adhered to in the preparations and production of food
  • Support the General Manager and the need arises;
  • Responsible for all cleaning duties and cleaning schedule for the kitchen;
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring new team members;


To be considered as a candidate, you will:


  • Be an experienced Chef Manager with at least 2 years in the role
  • Hold up to date Health & Safety and Food Hygiene, level 2 Food Safety certificates
  • Able to manage, train and develop a team
  • Computer literate and have experience of using online purchase to payment systems
  • Have a good financial acument (costings and P&L) 
  • Have an experience in the Contract Catering industry

Additional information:



  • 40 h per week, 
  • Monday - Friday role (term time only)  
  • up to 34K (depending on experience)
