It’s National Burger Day!

The humble Hamburger has undergone something of a revolution over the last few years. Once seen as the cheap option, something you might pick up from a fast food joint on a drunken walk home, there are now gourmet burger joints popping up all over the shop, with weird and wonderful toppings to match!

In honour of our humble friend on National Burger Day we are going to honour a few of our favourites who are pushing the boundaries when it comes to the Burger!

1. HONEST BURGERSVarious locations across Londonhttp://www.honestburgers.co.uk/

With regular ‘specials’ alongside their classic burgers, this chain has taken the London burger market by storm since opening their first store in 2011. Focussing on one thing (the burger, obviously) and ensuring it is done well has obviously worked for Honest Burgers as they have now grown to 13 restaurants and don’t show any signs of slowing down any time soon!

2. HUBBOXExeter, Plymouth, Truro, St. Austellhttp://hubbox.co.uk/

If Honest Burgers is taking the Capital by storm, then taking Devon & Cornwall by storm has to be Hubbox! ‘The Big Kahuna’ burger was a personal favourite when I lived down in Exeter, compromising of two 4oz patties, Pulled Pork, BBQ sauce, Cheese & Onion Rings. Hamburger Heaven!

3. GRILLSTOCKVarious Locations across the UKhttps://grillstock.co.uk/

Barbecued burgers, craft beer and loud music! What more could you want? Try the Lockjaw burger (above), but only if you’re hungry! It’s a monster!

4. CAUVarious locations across the UKhttp://www.caurestaurants.com/

They may be famed for their steaks, but their burgers are most certainly not to be ignored! The ‘Latin Burger’ – topped with jalapenos, guacamole, peppers and avocado – is to die for!

And here’s the excellent news! You can get 20% off burgers at all of these restaurants today! Visit https://nationalburgerday.co.uk/ for a full list of participating restaurants.

Now where’s my bib?
