Four UK Holiday Inn hotels have recently been signed by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
Holiday Inn Cardiff – North M4 Jct.32 will be the first among the four to welcome customers, something which will be happening within the next few weeks.
IHG partner Kew Green Hotels is operating the rebranded venue, which features 95 rooms, sauna, pool, gym and spa, revamped lobby and more.
IHG, which is among the biggest hotel companies in the world, has also signed Holiday Inn London – West, which will be opening next month with 75 new and 150 revamped rooms, for a total of 225 guest bedrooms.
This hotel, with features including a fitness studio and renovated ground floor, is set to operate through a IHG and Mango Hotels franchise agreement.
It's expected that the venue's location means that it will feel the benefit of its proximity to the likes of Wembley Arena.
The early part of next year will see the opening of Holiday Inn Birmingham North – Cannock, which is set to be operated through a franchise agreement with Nine Hospitality Ltd.
Found near the M6 with good transport links to Birmingham International Airport and the city centre, the current hotel will undergo a rebranding, re-opening as a Holiday Inn with 95 guest rooms.
Holiday Inn London – Heathrow T5 will open some time before the Birmingham venue, in the summer, boasting 119 rooms and operating through franchise agreement with Arora Hotels Ltd.
"Holiday Inn is one of the most iconic hotel brands in the world and its commitment to innovation makes it as relevant today as when it was founded more than 60 years ago," commented IHG director of development, UK and Ireland, Philip Lassman.
Data from March show Europe is home to 278 Holiday Inn hotels, with 36 being developed.
