Office move yet another sign of market strength in hospitality

In a further sign of the strength of the recovery in the hospitality sector, the flagship London temporary recruitment office of Berkeley Scott, based on Charlotte Street, has relocated in order for the business to grow.
Mark Darby, managing director, commented "we have won several new major clients this year and our market share is growing. At a time when the market is also growing, our increased workload has necessitated a 50% increase in headcount. The new office will improve the first impression for staff coming to register and house better facilities to recruit, induct and train our staff."
Berkley Scott certainly needs the improved facilities. They will be running the Academy of Food and Wine practical banqueting training on site along with food and hygiene, COSHH and manual handling testing. Furthermore, with the Olympic Games less than 12 months away and numerous contracts in the pipeline, the future of the industry is looking strong.
"Our strategy over the last couple of years has been based around a central idea of constantly evolving the service we offer and most importantly the quality of the staff we send out" comments Mike Gardner, operations manager of the London temporary office. "We have overhauled our recruitment processes, redesigned our inductions and introduced various types of training and development for our staff; we have proven we are not run of the mill and offer something different."
The office, based on Mortimer Street in London's west end, is also home to the permanent recruitment division of Berkeley Scott, providing candidates with an enhanced all-round service from one central hub.
