Hotels mark Valentine’s Day

It's that time of the year when places like hotels and restaurants will be hoping to promote themselves to couples and secure Valentine's bookings.

One hotel which has come up with a romantic deal which is available during all of February is The Bristol Hotel in Bristol.

The hotel has come up with what it's calling The Passion Package, which will see guests stay in a deluxe room with a view.

The Harbourside boutique hotel is also offering a 'Passion Kit' as part of the deal. Guests will get chocolate-dipped fruit and champagne when they arrive or following dinner. They'll also be furnished with a Do Not Disturb sign…

Breakfast in bed is available as is a special late check out time of 3pm, sure to make leaving day more relaxing.

The hotel, which takes the form of a 1960s building, boats 187 guest rooms and suites, which have all undergone relatively recent revamps.

The venue is part of The Doyle Collection and, interestingly, another hotel in the collection, The Kensington Hotel, has gone in rather a different direction with one of its options for Valentine's.

The 14-suite and 136-room London hotel has come up with an Everything but the Romance deal, which it is promoting to single people.

The package involves an in-room member of the bar staff, who can make cocktails for each guest, an Anti-Valentine dinner and a night out at the Ramusake private members club, as well as a hotel breakfast.

What will you be tempting guests with for Valentine's Day? One thing's for sure, with extra custom almost a certainty, people in hospitality jobs may be able to get some additional hours at this traditionally busy period of the year.
