Those looking for hospitality employment might be interested in a new mobile app from recruiter Berkeley Scott, which could help them search and apply for jobs while on the go.
The hospitality recruitment specialist has today (November 5th) announced the launch the Hospitality Jobs app for iPhone, Android and Windows phone, which will make a whole range of permanent and temporary job postings from right across the hospitality sector available at a touch of a button.
Free to download, the app will help enable jobseekers to search and apply for hospitality employment openings directly from their mobile, providing them with a variety of tools and features to help make finding their ideal job easier.
Users will be able to search by keywords, job title, job location and company name, view job descriptions without leaving the application, create email alerts to receive daily job ads matching pre-set criteria and save favourite searches.
Once they have found a job they are interested in, they can either apply for it directly through the app, or save the job posting to a shortlist and apply for it through the Berkeley Scott website at a later time.
The app also comes with a feature that allows job postings to be shared via email, Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
Berkeley Scott, the Hospitality Jobs app forms part its digital development project, which has the overall aim of providing an easy to use job search solution for job seekers.
And according to a recent study carried out by market research company Kelton Global, there is high demand among jobseekers for apps that make it possible to search and apply for jobs over mobile devices.
The study found that 86 per cent of jobseekers who have a smartphone would use it to search for a job, 65 per cent of those would search for available positions, 55 per cent would receive job alerts and 47 per cent would apply to at least a few jobs.
