Executive Search

When clients have a senior management assignment that requires very detailed market analysis and research to identify the most appropriate candidate, we would recommend executive search to be the most thorough and effective way to successfully conclude this type of assignment.

The best candidates are not usually evident in the normal selection process and it does require a research team to be able to drill down into the market place and find those elusive individuals who genuinely match the brief.

The team has many years experience and considerable market knowledge specifically in the hotel sector. We would be happy to discuss assignments for clients within the hospitality industry as a whole.

Positions that we would typically manage would be at Director, Board or Regional management level but could also include senior general management roles that require the same detailed search approach.

The approach taken on any assignment would require a commitment from the client to be providing their time to ensure a thorough briefing is achieved, and agreed, before the search assignment can commence. The structure of process is outlined below:
  • We would prepare a detailed briefing document to be used as a key tool in the selection process, for both client and candidate. This would be prepared by us, with the clients full agreement to the final content.
  • We would agree a precise time scale for short list and interview process, with a key objective of appointing the chosen candidate to ideally start work by an agreed date.
  • We would prepare a long list of target candidates which would be discussed with the client prior to our direct approach with the candidate, client recommended candidates and possible internal candidates would be discussed in the same process.
  • We would interview all short listed candidates including all client recommendations.
  • We would present candidate profiles following our interviews and prior to final selection for interview with the client.
  • We would attend any part of the client interview process as requested by the client, however, we would suggest specific involvement with the final interview process.
  • Our team of five would be engaged with the search process, and between us we have over 60 years of senior management recruitment experience, specifically in the UK hotel market. From time to time we would engage an external research company to assist in the search process, with a particular focus on the specific market sector. Due to the size of the international market, we feel it is essential to engage a specialist third party to identify talent outside the UK.
One of the key benefits of using our company is our passion to find the right people for clients we truly believe in. Whilst the fee is essential to keep our company trading, the opportunity to work with a good client in a genuine partnership is always the prime motivator.

Our fees will be calculated on an individual basis and will directly reflect the work that will be required to complete the assignment successfully.
