The Brief - Belmond is one of the oldest and iconic day travel companies. The brief was to lead a high quality, proactive and commercially focused kitchen brigade to support and facilitate the growing commercial success of the business. To build and maintain relationships with senior management and throughout the whole organisation with the view of expansion and modernisation of the food offer.
The Solution - In a one to one consultation with the Head of HR and the Managing Director a specification on the candidate was agreed. A short-list of hotel based executives with classic cooking background from 5-star backgrounds was a prerequisite.
The Result - A strong shortlist of potential options and the role was filled within 4 weeks. Since the beginning, Belmond's food strategy has been overhauled and set for major development in the new year.
