’36 Minute City Guides’ introduced by Jurys Inn

Jurys Inn has announced a range of '36 Minute City Guides' about certain cities, aimed at business travellers.

It comes after research from the hotel group showed that such travellers have just this short amount of free time to look around a city when they visit it on-the-job.

And nine in ten wish they had more knowledge about the cities they visit.

Indeed, almost a quarter think it's ridiculous they aren't able to see more of a city when they spend time there for work.

"It’s a shame that business travellers get such a limited amount of time to really experience the cities they are visiting for work," said Suzanne Cannon, marketing manager for the group.

Jurys Inn used the knowledge of its staff to produce the guides, which showcase key locations for business travel and aim to give business people without much time an inside look at the location they're visiting.

The guides feature videos, and each showcases several things that visitors might like to see during the just over half an hour they have spare.

"At Jurys Inn, our staff are always on hand to offer advice about great hotspots and hidden gems to visit, even if guests only have a few minutes to spare," said Ms Cannon.

"With our hotels being ideally placed right in the heart of cities, we hope our 36 Minutes City guides will let business travellers make the most of their next stay at one of our city centre hotels."

The first of the guides is about Birmingham and is already live on the Jurys Inn website. Others will be set live in the not too distant future.

Jurys Inn's research also showed that, when they do get free time when they're away, 16 per cent of corporate travellers sit on their own in a coffee shop.
